Catedra SAES-UMU Research Lines

There are two main research lines that are currently being addressed as part of the Catedra SAES-UMU initiative.

Validation of graphical and software interfaces and developments. This research line is aiming to design and develop tools that help complex process related with the interconnection of the view and control software modules being built as part of medium and large software projects. Current work in this line is devoted to create an intermediate validation module for the data and information being exchanged between the view part and the control part of a big software project. It is also aiming to design and develop one usability infrastructure that can be used in software interfaces, thus acting as a quality measurement tool to be used in SAES.

Design of modern distributed software management architecture. This research line is aiming to design and develop a novel architecture able to manage objects and software modules in a distributed way. This architecture should be also able to support load balancing and fault tolerance features. Current work is based on REST ( Representational State Transfer) and how Corba-based platforms can be integrated with a REST-style architecture.
